iPhone News: 100,000 Apps now available, Syncing issues with Windows 7, Women prefer iPhone, China iPhone a bust?

That’s great for Apple; bad news for retail developers and great news for users(?). Imagine end users trying to search through 100,000 apps. People are reporting syncing errors (error 0xE8000065) on their P55 machines running on the new Mac OS killer – Windows 7. Support forums from Apple, Windows, and Intel are still investigating this error message. I sense a disturbance in the Apple Force by the Windows Team. Another interesting research from Retrevo based on 445 smartphone owners shows that a typical iPhone owner is a woman and the typical BlackBerry owner is a man. Women iPhone owners are reported to have their personal life highly connected to her beloved iPhone, while the male BlackBerry owners treat their device as a enterprise e-mailing device. So, buy her an iPhone (wink, wink). Finally, since their launch last week, China Unicom has only signed up 5,000 new iPhone users. What do you expect from a device without WiFi capability?

Top Survey Rates iPhone the Best in Customer Satisfaction

With a score of 83 out of 100, the iPhone beat out its next closest competitors (that would be the Android and the Pre) by six points. This data jibes with other recent iPhone survey data which show
Further, 92 percent of iPhone owners surveyed said that it was the “ideal” handset.
JP Powers report for 2009 also rated the iPhone as number 1 in customer satisfaction. The report gives the iPhone 791 points out of 1,000, 40 points ahead of the industry average, and 19 points ahead of LG, Apple closest competitor. Research in Motion, maker of the BlackBerry smart phones, scored 739 points.
